How To Find A Direct X (Twitter) Post/Tweet URL
Finding the direct link to an X (formerly Twitter) post is easy. You’ll need this URL when setting up X-related entry methods in your SweepWidget giveaway.
Method 1: Using the Share Button
- Navigate to the post you want to link to on X
- Click the Share icon (arrow pointing upward) located at the bottom of the post
- Select Copy link from the menu
- The URL is now copied to your clipboard
Method 2: From the Post Page
- Click on the post to open it in full view
- Copy the URL directly from your browser’s address bar
Method 3: From the Date/Time
- Find the post in your timeline or profile
- Click on the date/time stamp below the post
- This opens the individual post page
- Copy the URL from your browser’s address bar
X Post URL Format
X post URLs follow this format:
https://x.com/username/status/1234567890123456789
Old Twitter URLs still work and will redirect:
https://twitter.com/username/status/1234567890123456789
Using the URL in SweepWidget
Once you have the post URL, you can use it in these SweepWidget entry methods:
- Repost on X – Participants repost your post
- Like on X – Participants like your post
- Reply on X – Participants reply to your post
- Quote Post on X – Participants quote your post
Simply paste the URL into the appropriate field when configuring your entry method.
Tips
- Make sure the post is from a public account, otherwise participants won’t be able to see or interact with it
- Both x.com and twitter.com URLs work in SweepWidget
- You can use posts from any public X account, not just your own
