Block High Risk Email Domain TLD’s From Entering Your Contest
To enable this feature, create or edit a giveaway. Under the Security Settings tab, you’ll see an option that says Block high risk email providers.

Enabling this feature will block all emails with high risk TLD names from entering your contest. Currently, this list includes .ru, .ua, and .cn emails.
Disabling this feature allow email addresses from these TLD’s to enter. * It will still perform basic fraud detection.
What Gets Blocked
When enabled, this feature blocks email addresses from high-risk top-level domains (TLDs) that are commonly associated with fraudulent contest entries. The blocked TLDs include:
- .ru – Russia
- .ua – Ukraine
- .cn – China
Additional Fraud Detection
Even with this feature disabled, SweepWidget still performs basic fraud detection on all email addresses. This includes checking for:
- Disposable email services – Temporary email providers (e.g., Mailinator, Guerrilla Mail) are detected and can be blocked
- Email deliverability – Checks whether the email address can actually receive mail
- Suspicious patterns – Detects email addresses with random characters, all-digit usernames, or other bot-like patterns
When to Use This Feature
Enable this feature when:
- Your giveaway targets a specific geographic audience (e.g., US/EU only)
- You’re seeing a high volume of fraudulent entries from these regions
- You want an extra layer of protection alongside geo-targeting and VPN blocking
For maximum security, combine this feature with VPN blocking, Strong or Strict security levels, and geo-targeting.
