Facebook Entry Methods
This article covers all of the entry methods that SweepWidget allows with Facebook.

Facebook login
SweepWidget allows users to login to a giveaway through their Facebook account. This features is enabled by default, but you can opt in or out within the build/edit section for a giveaway.
Admin view
Navigate to User Login. Then make sure the Facebook checkbox is ticked.
Public view
After the user clicks the Facebook login icon, they will be prompted to login through their Facebook account and authenticate the SweepWidget app.
After the user completes this, their name and email will be auto-filled and they can proceed to enter the giveaway.
Facebook visit page
SweepWidget allows users to gain entries by visiting a Facebook page.
Admin view
To enable this entry method:
- Navigate to Ways Users Can Enter.
- Click on Facebook > Visit Page.
3. Fill in all of the fields.
Public view
The user will be asked to visit your Facebook page and like it. They will receive credit for the entry after visiting this link.
Facebook like page (optional)
You can optionally ask users to like your Facebook page. You are allowed to ask users to visit your page as long as it’s completely optional and not required to gain entry (as Facebook’s contest rules and guidelines).
Admin view
To enable this entry method:
- Navigate to Ways Users Can Enter.
- Click on Facebook > Visit Page.
3. Tick the Ask the user to optionally Like your Facebook page checkbox.
Public view
The user will be asked to optionally like your Facebook. This is not required for them to gain entry, but they have the option to do it.
Facebook visit post
SweepWidget allows users to optionally visiting a Facebook post.
Admin view
To enable this entry method:
- Navigate to Ways Users Can Enter.
- Click on Facebook > Visit Post.
3. Fill in all of the fields.

Public view
The user will be asked to visit your Facebook post and like it. They will receive credit for the entry after verifying the username they liked the post with.
Facebook visit group
SweepWidget allows users to gain entries by visiting a Facebook group.
Admin view
To enable this entry method:
- Navigate to Ways Users Can Enter.
- Click on Facebook > Visit Group.
3. Fill in all of the fields.
Public view
The user will be asked to visit and join your Facebook group. They will receive credit for the entry after verifying the username they joined the group with.
