How To Position Your Widget
Control where your giveaway widget appears on the page by positioning it to the left, center, or right. This setting affects both hosted landing pages and embedded widgets on your own website.
Why Position Your Widget?
- Match your layout – Align the widget with your page design
- Create visual balance – Position alongside other content elements
- Improve user experience – Place the widget where users naturally look
- Accommodate side content – Leave room for sidebars or additional information
How to Position the Widget
Step 1: Go to Design Settings
- Create or edit a giveaway
- Click on the Design tab in the left sidebar
- Scroll down to find the Position the widget option
Step 2: Select a Position
Choose one of three positions:
- Left – Aligns the widget to the left side of the container
- Center – Centers the widget horizontally (default)
- Right – Aligns the widget to the right side of the container
Step 3: Save Your Changes
Click Save & Publish to apply the positioning.
Position Options Explained
Left Position
The widget aligns to the left edge of its container, leaving space on the right side.
Best for:
- Pages with right-side content or sidebars
- Left-to-right reading layouts
- Embedded widgets next to product descriptions or articles
Center Position
The widget is centered horizontally on the page. This is the default setting.
Best for:
- Hosted landing pages (most common choice)
- Dedicated giveaway pages
- Clean, focused layouts where the widget is the main content
- Mobile-responsive designs
Right Position
The widget aligns to the right edge of its container, leaving space on the left side.
Best for:
- Pages with left-side navigation or content
- Embedded widgets alongside left-aligned text
- Layouts where the primary content is on the left

The position setting affects the widget in two contexts:
Hosted Landing Pages
On SweepWidget’s hosted landing pages (sweepwidget.com/c/your-giveaway), the position determines where the widget appears within the page layout.
Embedded Widgets
When you embed the widget on your own website, the position controls alignment within the embed container. The actual placement on your page also depends on where you insert the embed code.
